Book Sale
The library will be having its annual book sale this Sunday, July 25 from 9am to 3pm in the library parking lot. We have thousands of selections and other miscellaneous items for sale or donation. A Dexter Fire Department firetruck will be there from 9:30-12:00 for families to see and learn about while they look for books. Free ice cream all day. All proceeds directly benefit the library so come on down and add some great books to your home library!

Summer Reading Kids are Stellar!
Our summer reading program has been going along swimmingly so far! Water is the main theme this year and the kids have watched flowers turn color, made marbled paper from watercolors and shaving cream and created many other works of art with the help of water. Everyone is reading up a storm, turning reading logs in each week, and adding goldfish (crackers!) to the fishbowl. Who will guess closest to the actual number of goldfish in the bowl?? We will find out at our last program day, next Tuesday morning, during our final day festivities! Many thanks, again to the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation and the Lane Library League for their sponsorship of this educational and fun-filled program.
