Dive Into Summer Reading!
The library's summer reading program will begin Tuesday, June 22 from 10-11:30 am. Join us for stories, activities, games and crafts which will entertain and educate your 3-12 year olds. WATER is the theme this year, which lends itself to many fun activities so be ready to get wet! Kids will be encouraged to read throughout the program and will receive rewards for turning in reading logs. A healthy (mostly!) snack is offered, too. Each week there will be a drawing for a book, T-shirt or book bag. We will meet at the library each Tuesday morning, June 22-July27. Space is limited so register your child(ren) soon by calling the library or 541-726-6511. This FREE program is sponsored by the Chambers Family Foundation, the Lane Library League and the Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation. Many thanks to these groups for making our most popular program possible!

New Books
Just added to the children's chapter book collection are two new books in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. We also have added to the first 5 books in the Percy Jackson series to our young adult fiction section. They have been very busy books, being checked in and out a lot in the past few weeks!
Volunteers Are The Best!
The next time you visit the library, take a moment to thank the volunteer working to keep the doors open so you can come in to check out materials. Our volunteers are very dedicated community members, some of whom have been working for over 8 years to keep this library open and dynamic. At this time we have 15 people who take time out of their busy schedules to keep our services accessible to you. Let them know how much you appreciate them!

Rainy Days Good For Reading
Feeling a little bored on these rainy days? Come down and check out some books to keep you busy when the weather is keeping you inside. We have quite a lot of new titles in right now. We also have a patron who has been working on our radio show collection so we will have some classic radio shows available on CD's within the next couple of weeks. CBS Mystery Theater anyone?
Writer's Group Reminder
